Happy Birthday Morgan!

December 18, 2007

It’s my hubby’s birthday today. Poor guy gets ripped off cause his birthday is right before Christmas. We are having a family party for him tomorrow cause thats when everyone can be there. Tonight we are having a nice romantic dinner! I’m looking forward to it. We have a gift certificate to use which is awesome because what is better than using a gift certificate during the week before Christmas. I’m totally craving schnitzel and spaetzle. I’m excited to have a date night. The last one we had was in September. It’s supposed to be more often, but quarterly is better than never right?

Morgan: I love your laugh. I love that you make me laugh too. I love having coffee with you and telling you my crazy dreams. I love that you know so much about obscure things so I don’t have to. I love that you are a tech nerd. I love your voice and when you sing it melts my heart. I love that anytime we go on a road trip you sing “On the Road Again”. I love the way you play with Emily and love her so much. I love the things you teach her that make me crazy to do over and over while you aren’t home. I love that you love Jesus so much. I love that you can cook so well and that you like cooking shows. I love that you say “um no” when I wear mis-matched stuff or put it on Emily. I love that you are AR. I love the way you smell anything you might eat before you’ll eat it. I love that you are so encouraging and supportive. I love that Emily looks so much like you. I Love spending my life with you and I’m looking forward to another crazy adventure of a year. Anyways…Happy Birthday Babe!

My Amazing Husband.

I finished my Christmas shopping today! All of it! I’m so happy I thought of something good for the last 3 people on my list. This year I had a hard time thinking of good gifts to give. I really try to think of thoughtful presents and not just useless crap thats expensive. I guess you could say that’s my goal in giving presents. Now I just have to wrap them. I wrapped a few things the other day, but I’d better get busy!

Today I got Emily up and walked into the kitchen to make her Power Oatmeal and realized we forgot the high chair in the car from the Christmas party last night. I didn’t even notice I’d said it until I heard “Oh Crap” repeated in a cute little voice. Man I have to stop saying that. Emily is having a good nap today.Yay! Yesterday she didn’t sleep so well so she was cranky, which makes mommy cranky too. She loves to sing so I’ve been singing songs more to her lately. I always sing, but I’ve just been singing more. Today during a delicious lunch of “Pea Balls” we were singing Old Macdonald. It was really funny cause I would sing “And on his farm he had some…” and wait to let her pick the animal. First she picked Ducky’s, but every time after that she picked Chicken’s. I guess she just liked them more than all the other animals.

I’m all proud of myself. I was all domestic on the weekend. I sewed Emily’s name onto her stocking. I got a cute one with a reindeer on it and then I just stitched her name on the top of it. I wanted to make her the whole thing, but I decided I liked this idea better. It doesn’t even look that bad either. I impressed myself.
