Tellular Cellephone

June 29, 2007

She ate Cat food. What on earth? Who eats cat food. She’s eaten dog food before too. well at least she’s not picky. I ate hotdogs, peanut butter and jam sandwiches and beef barley soup until I was…well old. Yesterday it got really quite and there she was shovelling cat food into her mouth. Quite enjoying it too. And not the dry kind either. The nasty wet smells-like butt kind. icky icky.

I got a new cell phone. well I got 2 new ones acctually. I bought this super cute orange one with the super TXTing buttons, but the next day it kindof died so I took it back and upgraded to the next one up the list. So now I have the batmobile. I think thats the only way to describe the way it looks. Its awesome. It has a nicer screen than the first one too. It’s pretty…in a batman kind of way. I already txt faster with it. Plus taking pix is fun. Out other cell isnt a camera phone. They didnt even make camera phones when I used to sell them. They had only become digital . We still could sell analog phones. Like those russian mini phones. The brick ones. Ok well even those were old when we started selling phones. I had people ask for them though. Old people still want huge phones that feel like house phones with huge anntenna’s and massive buttons. Young people want to be able to build a phone into your ear and not touch anything to make it work.Im just happy I have my own cell phone again. I got rid of mine about when we got married and Morgan got rid of his soon after. We were just always together so didnt really need to phone anyone anyways. but now we are all over and I txt my friends and my sister more. so Im totally like my new phone. Plus morgan and I dont always share technology well. We’re working on it. haha
Grr. The pictures arent working on here. I guess you’ll have to wait until next week.

Teeth are Mean

June 27, 2007

Ahhh I hate teething. Emily’s top 2 teeth are finally coming through. I thought they broke through yesterday, but alas not quite. I can see them both now though. We had a rotten day yesterday. First she got up stupid early and wanted to play and scream at the same time. Then at nap time she wouldnt sleep at all. She just screamed for like 3-4 hours. I just held her in the dark in her room(yes she has her own room at Grandpa and Nanny’s house…silly huh?). It was painful. It was better because she went to bed early and Morgan and I went to the theatre.

We saw Pirates 3. My review is still undecided at this point. I think I liked it, but I’m not sure. It was a fair bit darker and less plucky comic relief than normal. It’s the silliness that I like. Well that and the swash buckling. There were a couple parts that got kinda creepy for my taste. AND it was really long. They had tons of story to tell in the small amount of time. I liked it over all I think. I guess I’m a bit of a purist when it comes to pirates. Swordfighting, treasure, sailing, batten down the hatches, hoist the mainsail…that kind of stuff. Too much CGI kind of gets on my nerves. I think thats why I like to read so much. My mind can do a way better job of making mythical or weird creatures look better. My mind has special effects built in. haha. So yes I liked it.

Whelp we are going out for lunch without my darling toddler so that will be super. Nanny is going to watch her while Morgan and I run a few arrends and get some lunch. Wish me luck in conning Morgan into Gelato!!!mmm I can taste it now.

On Location

June 26, 2007

Im writing to you on location from the big city of Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, North America, The World, The Universe, Chunk of Creation. We are spending the next couple of weeks down here with my in-laws. Its Moe’s birthday and we have some time to get away. It’s really nice. Morgan will have to go back up for work on friday, but he’ll come back down next week for another day or two. I’ll stay down over the weekend for the Party and fun fun.

So the last couple of weeks have been oh-so-crazy. With the Relay for Life and normal life to deal with I havent had much time to blog. So I’m trying to catch up.  Heres my favy story from the Relay.

While hanging out at the Relay with some friends, my “Extra Parents”(Mark and Shannon) came up to say hi. I noticed Shannon had a travel mug in her hand. She walked up to me and reached out to hand it to me. It smelled amazing. A London Fog!! I thought to my self.” Awe how sweet, they brought me a London Fog. How did they know that would be the perfect thing in this chilly weather.” Thats when Shannon(My extra Mom - I practically lived at her house in high school, I did chores!) Walked right passed me, and my hand hanging out like an idiot, and handed the mug of delicious hot London Fog to this Lady she hardly knows. I then proceeded to pull my hand back all awkwardly like I was sort of waving or something. Could I possibly be more awkward. Um no. After I cried, I got over it and now find it mildly funny. Ha Ha.

Well sounds like we are going out for Breaky so Id best go. *kiss kiss*

Flying Trapeze Baby.

June 21, 2007

I had one of the scariest moments in my young parenting life today. Emily has gotten really good at climbing stairs. The isn’t quite as good at going down, but she only ever wants to go up anyways. Tonight while we were going upstairs to get her ready for bed she climbed up the stairs really fast and I stopped for a second to throw something into the entrance way. She got ahead of me and looked down and giggled. Then she fell backwards. She sat down on the next step and went into a roll and did a back flip and was flying through the air when I caught her. She didn’t even cry. It scared her pretty bad, but she didn’t hurt her self. I guess even at a young age she has super falling skills just like her mom. I never thought that all those years of being a Goalie in soccer, catching things that fly at my head, and my insanely weird reflexes would come in handy. I caught her with her upside down and flying through the air . It was crazy. I burst out laughing. Then I started to cry. Crazy adrenalin rush.

Only 3 days left until Relay for Life. I’m getting excited about it. I got some stuff for banners and Ill put those together hopefully tomorrow. I’ll try and take some good pictures on relay day. I’ve got a few ideas for the luminary walk. I think I might be able to take some really good pictures. I got a couple of good ones before. I think I’ll post one that I photmanip’d two years ago. It’s still my favorite. I have yet to find a babysitter for a big portion of the day. Hope I find one tomorrow.

I have to go chill for a bit. I’m still running off the adrenalin so I need to go relax and drink some Iced rooibos( always a staple in our fridge now).

*Ok and to top it all Emily fell down in her crib and smacked her head and so we had to start our night time routine all over again. I hate going back into her room after we put her to bed. *

Sheep-pdate

June 18, 2007

There will be no reward for the theft of the Sheep butt! My Poppa came into the room sheepishly and handed over the mutton. Having cleaned them off with his napkin after Emily threw them on the floor, he put them in his pocket. Could this story get more ridiculous…probably. Welcome Home Gilbert the mutton chops. “What does a sheep say Emily” “BAAA”
